This cookie policy explains which cookies are used on this website, what they are for, and how you can change your choice at any time.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site recognise you on your next visit — so that your basket is kept, for example, or your choice of language stays as you left it.
Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work. They are set without your consent because the site cannot function without them, and they cannot be switched off.
| Cookies | Purpose |
|---|---|
woocommerce_items_in_cart, woocommerce_cart_hash | Keeps the contents of your basket while you use the site. |
wp-wpml_current_language | Remembers which language you are viewing the site in. |
bikc_consent, bikc_region | Stores your cookie decision and the region it was based on, so you are not asked again on every visit. |
wordpress_logged_in_* | For signed-in customers only: keeps you signed in during your visit. |
Statistics
These cookies help us understand how the site is used. When they are set depends on where you are: in the European Economic Area they are set only after you have agreed. In Switzerland they may be set unless you object — you can object at any time, and we show you the choice on your first visit.
| Service | Cookies | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | _ga, _ga_*, _gid, _gat, _gat_* | Measures, with a shortened IP address, which pages are visited so we can improve what we offer. |
| BIK visitor statistics (this website only) | bikc_vid, bikc_uid | Recognises one visit (30 minutes) and a returning browser, so we can see how visitors use the website. Kept on this website only, never passed on or sold; no name, e-mail or IP address. |
Marketing
These cookies measure how well our advertising works. The same rule applies: in the European Economic Area only after you have agreed; in Switzerland unless you object. You can object at any time, and it takes effect going forward.
| Service | Cookies | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads conversion tracking | _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc, IDE, test_cookie | Measures whether an advertisement led to an order. |
| Google Tag Manager (container) | _gcl_* | Manages the measurement tags used on the website. |
| Mailchimp | _mcid, mailchimp_* | Sending and measuring our newsletter. |
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time, using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal takes effect going forward. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, in which case some functions may no longer be available.
Record of your decision
We record when you decided, which categories you chose, in which language, and which version of the wording you were shown. This record exists solely to evidence consent. It contains no name and no full IP address, and it is deleted automatically after three years.
Further information
How we handle personal data more generally is set out in our privacy statement.
